Data Analyst  – Office of Research Services, Division of Research

Are you interested in how research proposals are developed and how external awards are managed, or maybe in a career in research administration? If yes, come work with us in the Office of Research Services (ORS) and learn more about the ins and outs of research administration.  ORS supports the University's mission by promoting research and assisting faculty, staff, and students with the pursuit, acquisition, and management of external funding.  Our office consists of three teams (Proposal Development, Contract and Award Negotiation, and Award Management) and the student in this position will have opportunities to work with and learn about one or more of them. 

Job duties

This temporary position will focus on data analysis, data entry, and the maintenance of data integrity in the University's electronic research administration system known as Niner Research.   It will include using reports from the Niner Research system, documents stored within it, and other University records to add and/or confirm data elements to system records.  The position requires knowledge and experience with data analysis, document analysis, and database systems, as well as knowledge of research administration principles.  Prior experience with Niner Research is preferred, although not required.
