Activities Assistant - Senior Living – Part Time

What You'll Do: Working closely with the Life Engagement Director, the Activities Assistant will help plan, coordinate and execute a variety of events, celebrations and recreational activities for our senior residents, from holiday parties and ice cream socials to bingo and workout classes. Think holiday resort/cruise ship vibes!  

You will foster a warm and inclusive environment and utilize your creativity and talents to bring joy and excitement to our community. You will also help create and distribute promotional materials like the monthly newsletter, calendar, flyers and posters. The Activities Assistant will also help with coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments and may occasionally be responsible for resident transportation.  

 
What We're Looking For:  

- Valid State of Residence Driver’s License with safe driving record. 

- Minimum education level: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). 

- Reliable and dependable individuals - ability to learn, take direction and grow. 

- Social and outgoing personalities – ESSENTIAL! You will be interacting and socializing A LOT! 

- Creative minds with talents to share - music, arts & crafts, games, food & beverage, fitness, gardening, knitting – almost any talent, hobby or interest will do! 

- Energetic and enthusiastic about working with seniors. 

- Education, experience and/or passion for Arts, Culture, Leisure, Events, Entertainment, Fitness, Recreation is a MAJOR PLUS! 

- Knowledge of the Charlotte area and of the local community, including events, activities, and current happenings. 

- Basic IT skills required and proficiency in design software like Canva is a plus.
