About this opportunity:
This role will involve the student in the design/development/support of new and existing applications (both on premise and cloud platforms - such as Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure).
Preferred Skills:
-
Some degree of Data development experience to include any of the following: SQL, Python, Excel, PowerBI would be considered an asset

Basic knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle concepts
-
Strong analytical skills
-
Familiarity with Generative AI work a plus, experience with open source tools, etc
-
Desire to make a difference and solve problems
Activities:
-
Developing and\or enhancing dashboards and analytics
-
Enabling AI applications, helping to deliver training/outcomes
-
Assisting in the gathering of requirements for new use cases and analytics - includes collecting and analyzing existing documentation, reviewing with Subject Matter Experts & writing specification documents

Perform routine management/support/reporting tasks as they relate to applications (both out of the box and custom development) under our control

Working with other team(s) in system troubleshooting of the application problems
-
Testing of new releases of the application for production environment.
Physical Demands:

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

Experience: No formal experience is expected but would be considered an asset.
Education: Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent University program completing 3rd of a 4-year program or 4th of 5-year program of study and eligible for an internship program.
