Organization Overview:Hope Haven Inc. is a Therapeutic Community that provides a foundation of recovery for individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder, so they can build healthy independent lives.We empower our residents to achieve recovery, rebuild lives, and regain self-sufficiency. Hope Haven is committed to maintaining high standards of quality, and we are seeking CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accreditation to further enhance the services we provide.
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Intern to assist with Hope Haven’s CARF accreditation initiative. This position offers the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in managing complex projects within the nonprofit sector, with a focus on quality improvement, compliance, and organizational excellence.The intern will work closely with Hope Haven’s leadership team and department heads to coordinate the accreditation process, ensuring alignment with CARF standards across all service areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities related to CARF accreditation.
- Documentation Management: Assist in the collection, review, and organization of key documentation required for accreditation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CARF standards.
- Timeline Oversight: Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure the accreditation process remains on schedule.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders, including staff, accreditation consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Policy and Procedure Review: Assist in reviewing and updating organizational policies, procedures, and program documentation to ensure compliance with CARF requirements.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Compile and analyze data related to quality improvement and performance outcomes, contributing to ongoing reporting efforts.
- Research and Best Practices: Conduct research on CARF standards and industry best practices, offering recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Meeting Support: Attend project meetings, prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and provide follow-up on action items.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interest in project management, quality improvement, or accreditation processes, particularly within the nonprofit or healthcare sectors.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
