Internship Overview

Happy Life Home Care Agency LLC is seeking a motivated Software Development Intern to assist with the final development, testing, and optimization of our mobile application before its public launch. This internship provides hands-on experience working on a real-world software product in a collaborative development environment.

The intern will work closely with the company founder and development team to identify software issues, improve application performance, implement enhancements, and gain practical experience in mobile and backend application development.

Learning Objectives

• Gain real-world experience in Android application development using Kotlin.
• Learn industry-standard debugging, testing, and software maintenance practices.
• Collaborate with developers to improve application performance and user experience.
• Understand the software development lifecycle, including testing, quality assurance, and deployment.
• Develop problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills.

Daily Responsibilities

• Review and understand the existing Android application codebase.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs.
• Implement new features and improve existing functionality.
• Optimize application performance and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with the backend development team using Laravel APIs.
• Perform application testing across different Android devices.
• Document code changes, bug fixes, and technical findings.
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Assist with preparing the application for production release.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Android development using Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs.
• Knowledge of PHP/Laravel is a plus but not required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
