Job Description
Little, a nationally recognized design firm and consistent Best Places to Work, is seeking a Strategy Intern to support our Strategy & Measurement teams. This role is ideal for someone interested in how research and data inform space planning, design and performance. This internship will be in either Charlotte, NC or DC (Tysons Corner).
You’ll work alongside strategists and designers to support planning studies, measurement efforts, and strategy deliverables.
Responsibilities may include:
- Document and maintain space benchmarks
- Support space strategy + measurement efforts across multiple projects/offices
- Assist with planning analyses such as:
- Occupancy/utilization
- Headcount + space demand modeling
- Adjacency studies + planning principles
- Density/ratio benchmarking + workplace typologies
- Help collect and synthesize research inputs (quant + qual), including:
- Surveys and workplace feedback
- Interviews/focus groups
- Observations and utilization data
- Support strategy deliverables (diagrams, planning narratives, presentations) that connect strategy to design
- Contribute to visioning, scenario testing, and change planning

- Interested in the “why” behind workplace design decisions
- Curious about workplace performance, space planning, and metrics
- Comfortable working across research, analysis, and storytelling
- Organized, proactive, and collaborative
What we’re looking for
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design
- Planning, Real Estate, Design Strategy
- Industrial Engineering
- Strong interest in workplace strategy and planning
- Strong communication skills (written + verbal)
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign
- (Revit, Power BI, or data visualization tools a plus)
- Evidence of analytical or research-based work (coursework, studio, research, project work)
