Job Description:

Truist Securities’ Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Analyst Program begins with up to seven weeks of classroom instruction that consists of an introduction to capital markets, products and services, accounting, corporate finance, systems and financial modeling training designed to give Analysts all the tools they will need to be successful.  After the classroom training, Analysts join ECM product group and play a meaningful role in supporting senior investment banking professionals.

The Equity Capital Markets Analyst program provides the opportunity to gain exposure to a number of disciplines within investment banking and capital markets. Analysts will sharpen financial analysis skills, develop an understanding of corporate markets and clients, and gain experience in corporate finance and with investment banking products through on-the-job training. Within each group, Analysts play a meaningful role in supporting internal and external clients.

Assignments will be within the Equity Capital Markets group, with the opportunity to interact with other groups and disciplines throughout the investment bank.

Equity Capital Markets:

The Equity Capital Markets team at Truist Securities originates, structures, and executes equity capital raising transactions, including IPOs, follow-ons, equity-linked products, share repurchases, and at-the-market offerings. ECM professionals assist in capital raising in the public and private markets for acquisitions, strategic financing, and the strengthening of balance sheets. Analysts help senior bankers in the origination and execution across a range of situations. ECM analysts gain experience in assessing the strength of the equity issuance markets, investor targeting and outreach, supporting live deals, and developing client pitch materials.

The Equity Capital Markets Analyst position is typically a two-year position. At the end of the two-year period, Analysts may be asked to remain in the role for an additional year.

Location:

Truist Securities is headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with offices throughout the U.S. in cities including Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, Orlando, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

The majority of Equity Capital Markets Analysts are placed in New York.

The starting salary for this position is $100,000.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed BA/BS degree with a scheduled graduation of December 2024 or May/June 2025
  • Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment

Preferred Requirements:

  • Business major
  • Overall GPA of 3.0
  • Strong interest in finance and investment banking
  • Prior completion of Accounting or Finance coursework
  • High degree of academic and extracurricular achievement
  • Willingness to commit substantial time and energy to the program
