Monarch NC is seeking a passionate and motivated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our Employment Support team in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. At Monarch, we are committed to providing high-quality, trauma-informed services that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health conditions, and substance use disorders in leading self-directed and fulfilling lives.

What You’ll Do

As a QMHP on the Employment Support team, you’ll play a key role in helping individuals obtain and maintain competitive, community-based employment aligned with their interests, strengths, and long-term goals. Your work will focus on collaboration, advocacy, and practical support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting individuals in exploring career interests, employment goals, work history, strengths, cultural identity, justice involvement, and other factors related to vocational success
• Developing, maintaining, and updating individualized career profiles using input from the person supported, treatment team members, and—with permission—family members or former employers
• Coordinating with individuals and their support teams to develop and update individual employment plans
• Building and maintaining strong partnerships with local employers, businesses, and community organizations to expand volunteer and employment opportunities
• Identifying new community partners and nurturing ongoing professional relationships
• Promoting self-determination and informed choice throughout the employment process

What You’ll Bring

To qualify, candidates must meet North Carolina Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) requirements under 10A NCAC 27G .0104, including one of the following:

Bachelor’s degree (non–Human Services)

• 4 years full-time or 8 years part-time experience working with adults with a mental health diagnosis, intellectual/developmental disability, and/or substance use disorder

Bachelor’s degree (Human Services)

• 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time experience working with adults with a mental health diagnosis, intellectual/developmental disability, and/or substance use disorder

Master’s degree (Human Services)

• 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time experience working with adults with a mental health diagnosis, intellectual/developmental disability, and/or substance use disorder

Experience in employment services, supported employment, or community-based vocational programs is a plus.
