Job Description

UNC Charlotte is accepting applications for adjunct or part-time faculty. These positions are temporary and usually involve teaching a particular course or courses for a particular semester. These positions are temporary and do not accrue benefits.

This advanced course will provide students with an understanding of organizational development and change, including a set of tools for leading change. The focus of the course is about the use of tools, approaches and practices to enable organizational improvements leading to the creation of sustainable performance through the engagement and collaboration of people. A critical component will be on leading change from within organizations and understanding the significance of the individual in the change process. Readings consist of articles and chapters written by leading change consultants and academics specializing in organizational development and change. Through readings, assignments and class discussions, we will address organizational change issues such as how to create urgency for change, how to create and communicate a vision, overcoming resistance to change, balancing the business impact, people influence with all implementation plans, living with continuous change, and designing organizational practices to support change.Responsibilities could include: Developing and/or updating course syllabus, preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments, meeting all designated class periods, maintaining regularly scheduled office hours, grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner, submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
