Job Description
The Charlotte Global graphic design intern will support the development and refinement of the overall design portfolio for a five-unit office. Such work will support the office-wide goal to maintain a comprehensive and cohesive Charlotte Global ‘brand’ strategy. These efforts may include the concept and/or design of multi-purpose and event-specific materials, including but not limited to:
ï‚• Designing graphics for various communication contexts (print, web, email, and social media contexts with design elements to include logos, graphics, images, and multimedia material) following UNC Charlotte brand guidelines
ï‚• Designing promotional and marketing materials as needed
ï‚• Refresh all of our designs/promotional materials to reflect our new name and branding strategy
ï‚• Contribute to a branded and design resource manual
ï‚• Create social media post designs (Instagram, Facebook)
ï‚• Create office templates for consistently requested pieces (PPT, LCD screens, invitations)
ï‚• Refine approach to event-specific promotional suites
ï‚• Create short videos for YouTube and other social media stories and reels
ï‚• Other duties as assigned. The graphic design intern will also contribute to an ongoing goal of refining student-focused materials. Having a student fully engaged with creative projects infuses an ongoing student lens that the professional staff greatly values. During down times, you will be asked to contribute general support as needed as a student assistant in the office.
Graphic Design majors are preferred (2nd semester, sophomore, junior)
Seniors will also be considered; however, only those graduating in December 2026 or later are eligible.
Other majors will be considered with InDesign experience.
Note: This is an in-person paid internship and does not include course credit. Remote work is not allowed per UNC Charlotte policy.
Mid-to-late January start date preferred.
