Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and providing tax planning advice to clients. This role requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Bilingual in English & Spanish is a must.
• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Conduct thorough research on tax issues and provide guidance on tax implications of various business transactions.
• Assist clients by analyzing financial statements and advising on tax strategies.
• Maintain accurate records in financial software.
• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including reconciliation of accounts and payroll processing.
• Provide technical accounting support for complex transactions and ensure adherence to accounting standards.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• 1+ years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting is preferred. Only for UNCC Graduates. 
• Familiarity with general ledger reconciliation processes and payroll systems is essential.
• Experience with financial software such as Quickbooks Desktop.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey tax-related information to clients and team members.

Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour
