Job Description

This entry level position assists in the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure and construction projects. Under the guidance project managers, this position ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. Responsibilities include conducting site inspections, preparing reports, analyzing data, and using design software to create project plans. This is a hands-on role that requires a solid understanding of engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and familiarity with regulatory standards.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support project managers with CAD drawings, technical specifications, and initial designs;
  • Conduct on-site assessments to monitor progress, ensuring compliance with design plans and safety regulations;
  • Collect data from field tests, surveying, and other sources, then analyze and interpret to support engineering decisions;
  • Document project progress, identify issues, and communicate findings through written reports;
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to coordinate tasks and address any project challenges; and
  • Assist with cost estimations, prepare budgets, and keep track of expenses to ensure projects stay on budget.
Full-Time Minimum 2-year Associates Degree, preferred 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field, with 0-3 years progressive industry experience; Proficiency in packaged construction management and scheduling software; Bluebeam; AutoCAD, SketchUp or Revit; and Microsoft Office Suite; Strong detail-orientation and verbal and written communication skills; and Strong analytical, organizational and multi-tasking abilities are required in order to find solutions to various issues prioritize work and meet deadlines.
