ENGINEERING TECH

Position Description:

Conducts maintenance and calibration of equipment and software used in the performance monitoring system utilized by Performance Services. Updates data and programming as required by Performance Services for analysis and calculations. Prepares reports and data analyses as required to distribute performance information.

Essential Job Tasks:

• Manages EtAPro system through adding/maintaining points, monitoring system performance, and repairing issues as they arise. Works with Technology Services to make patches and repair issues in EtaPro.
• Proficiently performs calibration of pressure and temperature instrumentation following established procedures and trains new personnel with calibration activities. Maintains software used in the calibration processes. Maintains electronic records of calibration results. 
• Supports in the evaluation, set up, and replacement of computers and other electronic equipment used to process performance monitoring data. Updates information in EtaPro, spreadsheets and other software as required to support analysis and calculations performed by Performance Services. 
• Supports group in the Performance Services field testing program. Tests include coal scales, air heater leakage, turbine performance, flue gas sampling, pulverizer fineness, cooling tower capability, SCR ammonia grid balance, flow testing, and all applicable testing as required. 
• Supports the performance of the OLS and provides assistance with repair and identification of problems and solutions.

Position Requirements: 

Engineering Technician A

• High School Diploma/GED + 8 years related experience or Associate's Degree +6 years related experience or Bachelor's Degree +4 years experience required.
• Related experience includes power generation, utility or boiler.

Compensation Information:
$33.35 -$41.65 (min. - mid.)

Engineering Technician B

• High School Diploma/GED +5 years related experience or Associate's Degree +3 years related experience or Bachelor's Degree +2 years experience required.
• Related experience includes power generation, utility or boiler.

Compensation Information:
$27.00 - $33.75 (min. - mid.)

Engineering Technician C

• High School Diploma/GED +2 years related experience or Associate's Degree required.
• Related experience includes power generation, utility or boiler.

Compensation Information:
$22.00 - $27.45 (min. - mid.)
