Summer 2026 Internship
At Consolidated Planning (CP), we are looking for talented people who are ready to take flight on an exciting career in financial services. In our Summer 2026 internship, you will gain a realistic understanding of a financial services career and gain real-world experience. You will be mentored by CP's experienced financial representatives, wealth managers, and financial advisors. You and your cohorts will learn how to build and run a financial services practice with dedicated guidance by CP's best behind you. If you have the desire to be directly rewarded for your efforts, make a difference in people’s lives, and be in a field that offers ongoing learning, you should explore this internship opportunity. SUMMER 2026 INFORMATION:
6-week program, beginning Monday, June 8, 2026, through Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
- Available in the our Charlotte office:
- 6115 Park South Drive, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28210
- Our interns will be working IN PERSON
- $2,500 (total) stipend for the summer:
- $1,500 for June
- $1,000 for July

- Current college SENIOR, graduating May 2026, August 2026, or December 2026 (talented juniors may apply)

OUR INTERNS WILL:
- Have an immersive and highly developmental experience, laying a solid foundation in the financial services field

WHAT OUR INTERNS WILL LEARN:
- CP’s philosophy and how to have a process first mindset approach to business
- hear from successful CP advisors who will tell their stories of success, how they run their business, and the language they use
- To effectively use social media strategies in business
- To use the Living Balance Sheet (LBS) which is a key to planning success
- Why “protection first”
- About insurance, 401ks, investments, annuities, retirement planning, debt management and more
- The art and the science of talking to people about their finances, how they treat money, and how they think
- About savings, cash flow, debt, deductibles, and investment gains
- How to create a business plan
- To service a client base, including soft skills
- How to prospect
- How to track prospects and business activity
- The language used in client calls and understanding of timing of client calls
- Financial organization
- Wealth building
- The art of financial storytelling
- About what the future holds for them at CP

HOW OUR INTERNS WILL LEARN:
- In-person lectures and discussions led by experienced CP leaders
- Brainstorming with CP leaders and intern peers
- Occasional zoom sessions with subject matter experts from around the country
- Case studies
- Group discussions

- Videos, PowerPoints, webinars
- Hands on work with clients to implement concepts
