Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op - Spring 2025

The Role:

Our site in Chaska is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. In this role, the co-op will work amongst cross functional teams on process enhancement, large-scale project implementation and throughput improvement projects which enable improved manufacturing capacity and predictability in Operations. Once identified, the candidate would assist with dual qualifying product families on multiple pieces of CNC equipment utilizing project management skills.

In this role, you will:

• Partner with cross functional teams

• Design and implement fixturing for improved manufacturing capabilities

• Utilize 5S and lean principles to organize and optimize the manufacturing work spaces in various manufacturing processes.

• Identify potential dual qualification product families

• Write sample part requests

• Coordinate cycle time reduction

• Manage each project through to completion

You're a good fit if you have:

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

• At least two years of college in an engineering program

• Previous Co-Op or intern experience in a manufacturing setting

• Able to work a 1st shift schedule

• Willing to flex schedule to partner with off shifts

• Strong communication skills, and ability to deliver results in a timely manner

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

• Experience with CAD/CAM

• CNC Machining experience

• Understanding of 5S or 6Sigma principles

• Injection molding experience

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

• Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering

• Seeking incoming seniors or graduate students
