The Role at a Glance

We are seeking an Associate, Database Administration to support the Distributed Database Services Team. This team manages databases across Lincoln, ensuring a secure, reliable and robust database infrastructure for platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redshift.

What you'll be doing

· Participate in the day-to-day administration of database security tools like Imperva and Dataguise/PKProtect.

· Build standardized reporting for security events

· Execute playbook steps for responding to database security alerts

· Contribute to documentation of database security tools, processes, and procedures.

· Support initiatives to enhance database security and compliance.

· Participate in other database administration, reporting or automation projects as needed.

What we’re looking for

Must-Haves:

· Senior-level student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, or related fields.

· Basic knowledge of SQL, OS/Linux fundamentals, networking, authentication/authorization concepts.

· Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to multitask and work in ambiguous environments.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools

· Familiarity with the Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS

· Demonstrates initiative and ability to learn independently.

Nice-to-Haves:

· Experience with Tableau and Confluence.

· Awareness of CIS benchmarks, NIST CSF, SOC 2, PCI/DSS.

· Exposure to Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Redshift.

· Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and secrets management

The pay range for this position is $53,500 - $96,300 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees.  In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.  Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
