Job Description

Fund Finance Analyst
The role involves working as the junior member of deal teams on Fund Finance transactions creating pitch books, models, due diligence reports, and credit memos, as well as coordinating legal documentation and assisting in the syndication process.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports senior bankers on the deal team, through active involvement in specified aspects of deal origination and the portfolio management process as assigned.
  • Servicing and being responsive to client and partner bank requests.
  • Reviews borrower reporting and financial statements.
  • Researches prospective clients and provides briefings to senior bankers.
  • Prepare initial drafts of internal memorandums and presentations.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

Work Experience

  • 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years Preferred

The candidate will assist in the origination, execution and surveillance of Fund Finance facilities.  The role involves working as the junior member of deal teams creating pitch books, models, due diligence reports and credit memos, as well as negotiating legal documentation and assisting in the syndication of Fund Finance facilities.  The candidate will support senior bankers on the deal team, through active involvement in all aspects of the deal origination process.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of full-time or internship experience at an investment bank, asset manager or similar financial services firm.
  • Experience in private equity, structured finance or capital markets
  • Experience with securitized and asset-backed products
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing financial statements
  • Strong work experience using Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience in using excel to perform data analysis and/or modeling, as well as to organize/summarize/present data.
  • Some product knowledge, technical expertise, transaction execution and negotiation skills
  • Strong ability to interact with senior executives and clients in a confident and professional manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding environment with very little margin for error.
  • Dedication to building a career in the financial services industry.
