Job Description
SUMMARY
The Human Resources Intern will participate in the City HR Internship Career Initiative, a structured, cross-functional internship led by Talent Acquisition. The intern will gain hands-on experience across multiple Human Resources functional areas while supporting HR projects, learning core HR processes, and developing professional skills. This internship would be a minimum of 20-25 hours per week for up to 10 weeks.
Key Responsibilities

Support Talent Acquisition with recruitment-related projects and administrative tasks

Observe the recruitment lifecycle and candidate experience

Assist with training materials, job aids, or learning content (ODL)

Support benefits communications and employee education initiatives

Assist with data organization, documentation, or job description reviews (Compensation)

Support policy documentation, research, or process mapping (Employee Relations)

Participate in cohort activities, check-ins, and professional development sessions
Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university

Major or coursework in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or a related field

Strong interest in Human Resources and public service

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Strong communication and organizational skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
