Niblock Student Center/ Women in Business
The Internship
The Belk College of Business Women in Business (WIB) Initiative promotes the development and advancement of professional women in the Belk College of
Business at UNC Charlotte. WIB provides career-developing activities that empower students to enter the business marketplace with the skills and
competencies needed to achieve personal and professional goals.
WIB is housed within the Niblock Student Center in the College of Business. The Professional Development team, one of two teams within the Niblock Student
Center, oversees WIB and provides other career development and employer connection events for students. The Marketing and Communications Assistant
will be responsible for WIB content creation, e- newsletter content related to the student experience and professional development, and marketing efforts for WIB and the professional development team.
Learning Experience
The Marketing and Communications Assistant will increase their knowledge of effective marketing strategy and execution, further develop their writing skills, and be able to learn different software programs. They will increase their knowledge around career topics and issues faced by women in the workplace. They will be able to build their experience with marketing and publicity campaigns.
