About the Role

Global Bridge Advisory is a Charlotte, North Carolina-based startup working at the intersection of AI governance, international compliance, and technology implementation. We help nonprofits, municipal governments, and civic institutions navigate emerging AI policy frameworks, and we are building Crossera, a technology platform focused on the commercial transportation industry, where AI governance, data policy, and software development come together directly. This internship is an opportunity to work on real projects at that intersection, alongside our founder, from day one.

As a Software Development Intern, you will contribute directly to the technical build of Crossera, our platform for the commercial transportation industry, working closely with our founder on product direction and implementation.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the design and development of Crossera's platform, including front-end and/or back-end components depending on your skills
• Help build out the technical architecture that will support features such as a state DOT data layer and participant-facing tools
• Write clean, documented code and participate in code review
• Help translate research and policy requirements (from the Analyst and Researcher interns) into technical specifications and features
• Support testing and iteration during the platform's pilot phase
• Document technical decisions and contribute to internal engineering notes

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Working knowledge of at least one modern programming language or web framework
• Interest in applying software development skills to a real-world industry problem, ideally with some curiosity about AI governance or transportation
• Comfortable working independently and communicating progress in a remote, early-stage startup environment
• No prior professional experience required; personal projects, coursework, or hackathon experience are a plus
