Job Description
Position Overview
To service all real estate collateral documents and processes including: the execution of partial deed releases; subordination document analysis, preparation, and recording; successor in interest communication and validation; life of loan mortgage record document preparation and processing; and branch/operational mortgage loan collateral support.
To provide project- based learning and real-world experience to rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Graduate students. This cohort experience will provide an opportunity to train cross-functionally across Real Estate Servicing and Escrow departments. This entry-level role will receive mentorship from a designated resource within the department and work to enhance professionalism.
This is a paid internship opportunity for the Summer 2025 semester. The internship program is designed to be a pipeline for identifying early talent with the goal of converting interns into a part time or full-time role at SECU.
Responsibilities

Responsible for assigned project-based research and presentation to be shared with leadership at the conclusion of the program.

Obtain entry-level exposure to the functions of the Real Estate Collateral Servicing and Escrow departments.

Accountable for researching and understanding Real Estate Servicing and Escrow processes.

Collaborate effectively and professionally with internal coworkers and departments across the organization to aid in research and development of project.

Other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.

Currently enrolled full-time at a US – NC based accredited university/college.

Must commit to an 8 – 10 week internship program.

Must commit to at least 30 hours per week.

GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Authorized to work in the Unites States without Sponsorship now or in the future or without receiving CPT/OPT through university/college.

Must be a rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate Student.
