Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Helps support building a strong team that is cross functional across all Departments
  • Ensures customer and regulatory requirements are met
  • Maintains and audits the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
  • Ensures that our products meet established specifications and standards
  • Interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics and formulas
  • Performs testing of product and operational procedures
  • Records and analyses test data
  • Evaluates data identifying non-conforming material and products
  • Presents data using charts, graphs and reports
  • Recommends modifications to specs and standards to achieve optimum quality
  • Creates and implements statistical control processes
  • Trains associates in SPC procedures
  • Trains associates on Standardized Work
  • Recommends and supports business decisions that impact the performance of the operation
  • Reviews, inspects and analyzes incoming material to specifications and requirements
  • Receives, reviews, analyzes and documents customer complaints and/or returns
  • Leads cross functional teams that employ root cause analysis and other techniques to identify and permanently resolve problems
  • Drives quality culture to maintain ISO/TS certification, and favorable customer Quality ratings
  • Demands discipline and execution of proper procedures
  • Liaisons between Wilbert plastic services and customers
  • Interacts with customers, suppliers, and internal Wilbert personnel to ensure specifications and standards are met

ANY DOCUMENTAION, TRACKING, METRIC REQUIREMENTS?

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or 4-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO, Kaizen and other models
  • Experience as an automotive supplier preferred
  • Experience in plastics industry preferred
  • All required WilbertU Courses based on job title

Preferred Skills

  • Proven customer communication experience and ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times
  • Strong technical skills and an understanding of statistics.
  • Expertise in quality management systems and PPAP documentation
  • Above average proficiency in office systems software – word processing, spreadsheets, database
  • Above average ability to create and present data using charts, graphs and reports
