We are looking for a student to work with our Charlotte Office which helps low-income families with a variety of issues including housing, domestic violence, consumer, etc. We also are very active in the Mecklenburg community, where we provide a lot of community education/outreach and work with partners from local corporations and major law firms to provide free representation to clients. We need YOU to help us in our mission-driven work.
We anticipate a Niner student worker to help with:
- community outreach tabling (and other) events
- general administrative tasks, including courthouse runs for the DV team
- assist with intake for walk-in clients who come to the office and at our courthouse clinics
- work with the office's social worker to help with creating a community resource directory
Although Legal Aid has 24 offices throughout the state, this position is housed in our Charlotte Office located at 5525 Albemarle Road, Ste. 100, Charlotte (28212)
