Warehouse Operations Specialist
Department: Operations / Warehouse
Reports To: Operations Manager / Director of Operations
Location: On-Site in Harrisburg, NC
Employment Type: Part-Time
Position Summary
SimpleCom is seeking a reliable, organized, and technically minded Warehouse & Technology Operations Specialist to support our growing logistics and deployment operations. This role combines traditional warehouse responsibilities with hands-on technology configuration. The ideal candidate enjoys staying organized, working with technology, and taking ownership of inventory and fulfillment processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to grow into purchasing, operations, or technical deployment.
Primary Responsibilities
Warehouse & Logistics
- Receive incoming shipments from vendors
- Verify shipments against purchase orders
- Label, organize, and store inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and warehouse organization
- Pick, pack, and ship customer orders
- Prepare equipment for customer deployments
- Coordinate outbound shipments with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight carriers
- Process RMAs and returned equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse
Technology Configuration
- Activate and provision equipment
- Update firmware on networking equipment
- Verify equipment functionality before shipment
- Document serial numbers, SIM cards, and asset information
- Follow deployment checklists and quality assurance procedures
Purchasing & Vendor Coordination
- Create purchase orders within company systems
- Monitor open purchase orders
- Coordinate with vendors regarding order status
- Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels
Inventory Management
- Conduct cycle counts
- Monitor stock levels
- Recommend reorder quantities
- Track serialized equipment
- Investigate inventory discrepancies
General Operations
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Assist with special projects
- Support field technicians and engineering teams
- Help improve warehouse and fulfillment processes
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong organizational skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
- Warehouse experience
- Inventory management experience
- Experience with UPS/FedEx shipping software
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, NetSuite, SAP, etc.)
- Basic networking or IT knowledge
- Familiarity with routers, networking equipment, or telecommunications
- Forklift certification (will provide training if not already certified)

Compensation
Hourly Rate:
Entry Level $18–$22/hr
Experienced Warehouse + Tech $23–$26/hr
Strong Candidate (Inventory + Purchasing + Tech) $27–$32/hr
Part-Time (20–30 hours/week)
