Through regular open communication, collaborate with paired faculty to facilitate a productive and professional classroom environment for students taking ENGR 1300.  Demonstrate an ability to incorporate a retrospective understanding of your own academic journey in how you relate and proactively engage with students.  Acknowledge the broad range of individuals enrolled in first-year engineering programs, and demonstrate a willingness to reach out to students to encourage academic success and course participation.  Provide a unique College of Engineering upper-class student perspective to enrolled students that demonstrates open minded, flexible, patient, and a humble demeanor through well-articulated communications.  Routinely communicate with students in-and-out of class, and through Canvas classroom learning environment, to provide clarification and understanding regarding any course material and grading requirements or outcomes.  Demonstrate empathy and an understanding of the impact that communication from an upper-class student can have on new students.  Collaborate with paired faculty, and other TAs to conduct consistent, accurate, and timely grading.  Provide corrective and/or improvement-based feedback to paired faculty regarding any course material and/or classroom content necessary to enhance course curriculum and structure.  Able to plan and maintain a productive grading and student-support schedule that includes daily timesheet management.  Hours will be flexible and consistent with the class schedule, and may include some evening hours.
