Job Description

The Regional Lead provides leadership to a regional team of mentors and evaluators who are responsible for mentoring and evaluating lead educators who hold or are eligible to hold an NC B-K license and are employed by non-public schools such as NC Pre-Kindergarten, NC Developmental Day, and other early childhood programs. This position is responsible for maintaining consistency of procedures and information delivery, providing an effective communication structure between the state and regional offices and in the field to ensure delivery of consistent messaging to all evaluators, mentors, site administrators, and partners, and ensuring shared collaboration throughout the state. The Regional Lead also provides mentoring and evaluation services to educators.

  • Partner with the Project Director and staff at other sites in planning, managing, and synthesizing formative evaluation activities of the project and other communication supports at UNC Charlotte.
  • Collaborate with the Project's Co-Directors and other staff to conduct research syntheses related to school completion and post-school success for students with disabilities.
  • Develop products including presentations, publications, and training materials.
  • Deliver technical assistance to SEA, LEA, and State and local VR service providers on use of educational program data and results of research syntheses.
  • Focus of the technical assistance by this position will be based on the analysis of SEA's State Performance Plans and Annual Performance Reports on the provision of IDEA services, specially related to Indicators 1 and 2 dropout and graduation rates for students with disabilities, as well as additional policy analyses conducted by this position and other project staff, or in partnership with SEA, LEA, and VR personnel.
