K-12 Tutor

Do you like teaching and working with kids? Huntington Learning Center is the place for you!

As an employee of Huntington Learning Center, you will work with grade school students of all skill levels in English/Reading/Writing, Study Skills, and Math. Subject tutoring focuses on individual courses/subjects rather than overall reading skills.

Each student session lasts 2 hours. On-site tutoring is preferred but amenable to hybrid/remote work, although there is not much demand. In some cases, a student may require exclusively in-person tutoring sessions.

Curriculum and placement tests are provided for student sessions. No prior preparation needed!

Students are one-on-one or up to four-to-one as the maximum ratio.

We are understanding of scheduling restraints and can accommodate them.

Our current hours are 11-8 Monday-Thursday (most students start at or after 4) and 9-2 on Saturdays.

We are looking for candidates that have either at least two weekday afternoon/evenings available, or at least one weekday and Saturday availability. Our ideal candidates have experience tutoring and/or teaching, have worked with elementary-aged children before, are outgoing, and have a passion for helping children grow. However, not having all does not exclude you as a candidate.
