Role Overview/Summary: GreerWalker is actively seeking career minded individuals for the Summer 2028 Tax Internships. Tax interns will work on a wide variety of engagements under the supervision of a tax professional including preparing individual, corporate and partnership returns, researching tax issues and participating in the tax planning process.

Role Responsibilities:

• Prepare basic federal corporate (C and S) and multi-state tax returns, and basic partnership returns.
• Prepare basic and intermediate individual tax returns.
• Complete tax checklists.
• Prepare adjusting journal entries for tax purposes.
• Respond to tax notices.
• Create tax depreciation schedules including proper classification of assets.
• Research fundamental issues using online tools.
• Participate in client meetings.
• Participate in the tax planning process, including preparing tax projections.
• Perform other duties as needed on engagements and as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience

• Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting with minimum 3.0 GPA
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

• Foreign language skills (particularly German) a plus

Working Conditions

• Able to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles.
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; and to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone
