Profile of Your Organization
The Women’s Health and Resilience Foundation is dedicated to promoting women's health, resilience, and wellness through education, advocacy, and community support. Our mission is to empower women by providing access to health education, emotional support, and practical resources, especially for those battling cancer and other chronic conditions. We conduct free
educational events, wellness sessions, and community-building activities, and we partner with other local organizations to maximize our impact.


Description of the Project
This project focuses on elevating our foundation’s visibility in the community and online. The intern will help enhance our social media presence, develop a sustainable marketing plan, and assist with website improvements. They will collaborate with us to create engaging content that effectively communicates our mission, upcoming events, and services to our target audience.


Project Scope
- Design and implement a short-term social media and marketing campaign.
- Create a template for a long-term marketing plan with strategies to increase community engagement and reach.
- Audit and suggest updates for our website to improve navigation, accessibility, and user engagement.
- Assist in the development of promotional materials and digital content for our events and social media channels.


Preferred Student Demographic and Qualifications
- We are seeking a junior or senior-level marketing, communications, or public relations student, ideally with:
- Experience or interest in social media management, digital marketing, or nonprofit marketing.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Familiarity with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark) and basic website management (preferably with platforms like Wix).
- Passion for community service, women’s health, or nonprofit work.


Hours Required for Completion
The project is designed to be completed within 40 hours, including research, strategy development, and implementation assistance.


Describe How the Student Will Benefit from Participation (Learning Experience)
The student will gain practical experience in nonprofit marketing and exposure to real-world digital marketing strategies. They will develop skills in social media strategy, community engagement, and website management, gaining insight into how marketing supports mission-driven organizations. This hands-on experience will enhance their portfolio and provide an understanding of nonprofit operations, particularly in the health sector.

- A draft of a sustainable marketing plan that the foundation can implement in the long term.
