Your Team, Your Impact

Marvell is looking for a Physical Design intern who will help with the design, analysis and implementation of physical designs on system-on-chip (SOC) designs to ensure successful delivery to end clients.

What You Can Expect

  • Understand design specifications  
  • Implement designs through all aspects of implementation (floor planning, placement, clock insertion, routing, timing closure, and physical verification) using industry standard Cadence tool. 
  • Write scripts in Python, TCL, Perl, and Shell to aid design and development activities 
  • Utilize problem solving skills to analyze, debug, and implement fixes for design violations using defined CAD tools/flow  
  • Collaborate with global CAD teams on design flow fixes and feature improvements  

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Candidate MUST be currently pursuing a BS (preferred) degree in EE/CS or related technical field(s) 
  • 0-1 years of previous experience 
  • Language Fluency – Fluent in English Language – written & verbal. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Good understanding of Linux/Unix/BSD Internals, with experience working on multi-threaded systems 
  • Strong Programming Skills in scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Python) in a Unix type environment, with good problem-solving skills 
  • Knowledge or experience on how to implement floreplaning, placement, routing through Cadence Tool 

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

26 - 52, $ per hour.

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
