    Job Summary

    PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 Staff Intern - Sponsorship for the Corporate Communications Dept.

    This job involves working to support the Brand Partnership

    • PSEG's World Cup Partnership Activation at FIFA's Fan Festival at Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ which is scheduled June 11-July 19th

    • Supporting the Jersey Ready Brand and Media Plans

    • Supporting all other partnership discussions post World Cup window

    This position will be (Hybrid Fixed)

    Job Responsibilities

    Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

    Phase 1 - (June 1- July 21) World Cup activation support, including:

    • On site support at FIFA Fan Festival, Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ

    • The Fan Festival is scheduled for every day of the World Cup tournament, June 11-July 19 (39 days). Intern would help support daily set-up and tear down of PSEG activation space and any activities related to the PSEG Bucket Truck that will be displayed at Fan Fest.

    • Support all other activation events that take place during the World Cup window:

    • 3 PSEG Branded soccer pitches in the community, whether it's a new pitch that's being dedicated or an activation planned for a specific location.

    • Meet and greets during the tournament- support any employee benefits during the tournament, such as observing a club practice session.

    • Other planned activations, activities, event support including local community watch parties and events.

    Phase 2- (July 22- Aug 21) Jersey Ready Media and Sports Sponsorship

    • The 30-days of Phase 2 will be grounded in a more traditional work schedule, with select days each week in the Newark office, other days working from home remotely, and on-site visits to venues. There will be 2 areas of focus

    • 2026 Jersey Ready Campaign

    • Sponsorship Planning and Best Practices

    Jersey Ready:

    • Background on campaign development from '25 to Year 2, 2026

    • 360 Marketing program overview

    • Creative development and executionMedia plan development, media buying approach and media plan tracking and monitoring

    Sponsorship Best Practices:

    • How are sponsorship contracts built?

    • Planning and development

    • Internal review and sponsorship package evaluation

    • External supplier protocol and negotiation approach

    • Sponsorship performance and measurement

    • Note : 4-part tutorial that provides a deep dive in each of the areas above.

    As part of the sponsorship learning's, we would look to provide the intern with some hands-on real-life experience:

    • Attend a Trenton Thunder or Somerset Patriots minor league baseball game (coordinate with CES on one of their activation game days)

    • Site visit, meet and greet the sales leads for with NJ Devils/Rutgers/Seton Hall

    Job Specific Qualifications

    The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Sports Business, Sport Management and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029. Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Incumbents must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.

    Because this position will require traveling to various partnership activations and offsite meetings, a valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required.

    Desired :

    • 3.0 GPA

    This internship opportunity would be perfectly suited to the incumbent that has an interest and passion for marketing in general, with specific areas of focus that include:

    • Sports Sponsorships

    • On-site Sponsorship activations

    • Brand development and management

    • Media planning and buying

    All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
