Job Description
The Recruitment Office at the Cato College of Education (COED) is seeking enthusiastic students who are passionate about supporting others, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and are committed to recruiting future educators at UNC Charlotte.
EDU Ambassadors represent a diverse range of majors within COED and related fields. Whether you're a math major or studying something else, you can leverage your unique experiences and knowledge to inspire prospective students. As an EDU Ambassador, you'll play a key role in showcasing the benefits of our programs and the exciting opportunities in the education field.
Our goal is to engage with potential students and their families, highlighting the advantages of studying in COED and pursuing a career in education. By doing so, we aim to increase enrollment in our undergraduate programs and contribute to building a pool of exceptionally qualified teachers in the state.
Responsibilities:
- Previous relevant work experience is required. Responsibilities include assisting with special projects, data retrieval, receptionist duties, scheduling meetings, taking messages, and providing customer support.
- Students may work on programs, flyers, and websites to communicate with students and participants with minimal supervision. Responsibilities could also include sending and reviewing proofs for copies and printing.
About EDU Ambassadors
EDU Ambassadors are a dedicated group of students representing The University of North Carolina at Charlotte at various events and activities. As an EDU Ambassador, listed below are job tasks, include but not limited to:
- Participate in student panels
- Engage in recruitment events
- Provide campus tours
- Share your experiences with prospective students
- Assist with outreach initiatives
- And much more!
Departments Involved: We welcome students from all departments at the university, including but not limited to:
- College of Arts + Architecture
- Belk College of Business
- Cato College of Education (Mebane Hall)
- College of Engineering
- College of Health and Human Services
- College of Computing and Informatics
- College of Liberal Arts & Sciences
Qualifications:
- Must be a major or minor in any of the departments at the university listed above
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for promoting Cato College of Education
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
