Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.  May communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities and staff.  Communicates with patients and / or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and / or to confirm appointments.  Performs insurance verification and / or pre - authorizations as necessary.  May be responsible for managing the referral work queue, entering patient demographic information, and scanning documents into an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.  May correspond with referring providers and / or patients for reports, information exchange, scheduling, x - rays, and paperwork. The pace is fast, so your ability to multi - task is essential. You should also enjoy working with people and have the communication skills necessary to build strong relationships with our customers.
