Job Description

To provide strategic leadership for FM's workforce development, organizational learning, talent pipeline, leadership development, and workforce planning initiatives. This position serves as FM's lead for workforce development strategy, overseeing apprenticeship programs, leadership development initiatives, career pathways, and talent management systems that strengthen the department's ability to recruit, develop, and retain a skilled workforce. This position directly supervises the Training Coordinator(s) and provides oversight of departmental learning and development programs. The role exercises substantial independent judgment in workforce planning, program design, resource management, and organizational development initiatives.

Leads Facilities Management’s workforce development, learning, talent pipeline, leadership development, and workforce planning programs. Designs, implements, and evaluates programs and systems that support employee development, career pathways, succession planning, recruitment, retention, and long-term workforce needs. The position oversees apprenticeship and leadership development programs and departmental learning initiatives. Independently manages program design, resource allocation, workforce planning, and initiatives that strengthen workforce capability and operational effectiveness. Full-Time UNC Charlotte
