Job Description:
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4p. No Call Required.

Coordinates daily transportation operations, including dispatching and routing to ensure efficient and timely service.

Manages incoming transport requests, assigns calls, and optimizes equipment and staff utilization.

Maintains performance standards by minimizing dispatch times and responding effectively to urgent situations.

Builds strong customer and interdepartmental relationships through professional communication and service improvement efforts.

Upholds hospital policies and the SHARE philosophy while promoting teamwork, safety, and high-quality services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

People Skills: Ability to understand customers' needs and respond to them in a pro-active, courteous, professional, and efficient manner [Required]

Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak appropriately in English using good diction, and respond to people's needs in a pleasant and courteous way as perceived by the customer [Required]

Technical Skills: Ability to operate stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs. For cost center 9623 must be able to type at least 20 wpm [Required]

Exceptional communications skills to work with patients from infant, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups [Required]

Excellent customer service skills required and ability to exemplify the Service Standards [Required]

Must be able to use computer for patient information and basic department clerical functions [Required]

Ability to lead a team, coach for improvement and recognize positive behavior [Required]
