Job Description:

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-4p. No Call Required.

• Coordinates daily transportation operations, including dispatching and routing to ensure efficient and timely service.

• Manages incoming transport requests, assigns calls, and optimizes equipment and staff utilization.

• Maintains performance standards by minimizing dispatch times and responding effectively to urgent situations.

• Builds strong customer and interdepartmental relationships through professional communication and service improvement efforts.

• Upholds hospital policies and the SHARE philosophy while promoting teamwork, safety, and high-quality services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• People Skills: Ability to understand customers' needs and respond to them in a pro-active, courteous, professional, and efficient manner [Required]

• Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, speak appropriately in English using good diction, and respond to people's needs in a pleasant and courteous way as perceived by the customer [Required]

• Technical Skills: Ability to operate stretchers, beds, and wheelchairs. For cost center 9623 must be able to type at least 20 wpm [Required]

• Exceptional communications skills to work with patients from infant, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups [Required]

• Excellent customer service skills required and ability to exemplify the Service Standards [Required]

• Must be able to use computer for patient information and basic department clerical functions [Required]

• Ability to lead a team, coach for improvement and recognize positive behavior [Required]

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
