Job Description

This student will assist the UNC Charlotte Digital Media Communications team in Media Management, support for industry integration with Adobe Creative Suite editing, media broadcast workflows, media deployment, and robust management options. The student will also assist in the programming and technical operations of the department. This position will work to improve station workflows, ingest of content, and operations in live broadcasts. On a day-to-day basis, this student will assist in managing university media, ingesting media, and running live broadcasts as events warrant.


Students should be interested in information technology, online media platforms, and/or the digital media field. The student should be proactive, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently. The ideal candidate has proven experience or educational background in technology. 


By the end of this internship, this student will leave with an understanding of how information systems support the broadcast TV environment. Additionally, this student will also develop their communication skills and understand the workflow of tagging media with a range of information. The student will learn the importance of logging in post-production.
