About Work Meaningful Foundation

Work Meaningful Foundation (www.workmeaningfulfoundation.org) is dedicated to creating meaningful impact through educational development. Our mission is to support underserved communities in Ghana and the United States by providing educational resources, leadership training, and opportunities that empower individuals to achieve their full potential. Through our initiatives, including scholarships, community-building projects, and providing educational access we are committed to fostering sustainable change. Our signature annual event, the AfroCareCLT Gala, serves as a critical fundraising initiative to further our work in these communities.

Social Media Internship Description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Intern to help develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for Work Meaningful Foundation and its associated brand, Work Meaningful. This internship will provide hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, and social media engagement, allowing the intern to directly contribute to increasing our organization's reach and impact.

The intern will:

  • Develop and implement a social media plan that aligns with Work Meaningful Foundation’s mission and goals.
  • Manage content creation and scheduling for Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Design visually compelling posts using Canva and other design tools.
  • Assist in promoting our 3rd Annual AfroCareCLT Gala, ensuring increased visibility and engagement.
  • Update and improve existing website and marketing materials.
  • Track social media metrics and provide insights to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Engage with our online community by responding to messages and comments.

Location

  • Hybrid Internship
  • Primary location: Flywheel, 57 Union St S, Concord, NC 28025
  • The hybrid structure allows for in-person collaboration while maintaining flexibility for remote work.

Preferred Student Demographic & Qualifications

We are looking for students who are passionate about marketing, social impact, and creative storytelling. Ideal candidates should:

  • Be pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Have experience with social media management, content creation, and engagement strategies.
  • Be proficient in Canva, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
  • Possess strong writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate creativity, initiative, and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
