Job Description

  • Serve as the University’s foremost expert and authority on occupancy management and housing assignments to maximize available bed space
  • Maintain specialized knowledge of the assignments process, RMS/Mercury, StarRez Banner, and all supporting systems
  • Support key University stakeholders who manage special programs and to best meet student housing needs
  • Serve as Department Lead for StarRez training for University partners
  • Anticipate issues before they occur and propose solutions and work-arounds
  • Anticipate evolving student and stakeholder needs
  • Partner closely with Undergraduate Admissions to administer the year-round housing tour program in support of enrollment management efforts
  • Recruit, develop, supervise, mentor, and manage 3 full-time staff members and indirectly recruit, develop, supervise, and manage up to 15 student Housing Ambassadors
  • Participate in virtual as well as in-person local and regional Admissions recruitment events
  • Serve as one of several department administrators to manage residential access
  • Represent HRL on University-wide committees and teams (including but not limited to the Housing, and Dining Appeals Committee)
  • Administer the housing deposit waiver process
