Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Sunny Journey Ahead LLC operates a Level III residential treatment home in Gastonia, NC serving adolescent girls, and is hiring three Direct Care Staff.

Positions 1 and 2 — Weekday Staff (Full-time, two openings): school pickup at 2:30 PM, evenings until 8:30/10:30 PM, some weekday overnights, and every other weekend.

Position 3 — Weekend Staff (Part-time): strictly weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

Duties: supervision of residents, transportation, medication administration, meal preparation, documentation, and maintaining a safe, structured environment.

Requirements: Must be 18 or older; high school diploma or GED; valid driver's license and reliable transportation. One year of caregiving or residential experience preferred.

Preferred but not required: CPI, First Aid, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Medication Administration certifications, and a current TB test — applicants without them will be trained.

How we meet with student applicants: Initial interviews are held virtually by video call; finalists are then invited to an on-site meeting at our Gastonia location before any offer, and staff check-ins and supervision meetings are held on-site.

This is an independent contractor position — hired staff sign an Independent Contractor Agreement with Sunny Journey Ahead LLC.
