About Student Engagement
Leadership & Community Engagement

The Internship
This internship will allow selected students to experience hands-on aspects of marketing and student affairs work. The communication portion of the positions will help the student improve their written and oral communication skills. The interns will learn how to research best practices thus increasing their research skills. Responsibilities include: • Promotion of Leadership & Community Engagement (L&CE) programs including Emerging Leaders, Leadership Fellows, Executive Leadership Program, the Women's Leadership Development Program, SAFE, Community Service Opportunities, SERVE Team events, TEDx UNC Charlotte, and other events/programs as assigned. • Develop creative social media posts for various L&CE programs • Selection of and written recognition of student spotlights on L&CE social media accounts. • Explore ways to increase publicity for events. • Implement new methods. • Serves as the social media contacts for Leadership & Community Engagement programs. • Create bi-weekly e-newsletters. • Listen and engage with other interns to promote community service initiatives • Work with multiple stakeholders on and off campus to promote initiatives • Support large-scale events and gain event planning experience • Other duties as assigned • Attend four (4) professional development activities each semester

Learning Experience
