Job Description

About
The CGLL serves UNC Charlotte’s graduate students from enrollment to commencement. We build community and promote holistic graduate student success through an evolving portfolio of in-person and online offerings, including workshops, fellowships, experiential learning opportunities, and credit-bearing courses. In collaboration with campus and external partners, we empower our students to tailor their personal and professional development for success in graduate school, the job search, and their early careers. We also advocate for the resources our graduate students need to thrive and contribute to the scholarship that is vital to Charlotte as an R1 institution.

The Project
The Thomas L. Reynolds Center for Graduate Life and Learning aims to encourage graduate student involvement and participation in a meaningful way, leaving a lasting impact on future generations. We plan to decorate the center's halls with a research mural that highlights key aspects of higher education, scientific research, which are essential to our mission within the graduate community. The purpose of the mural is to illustrate the connections between the center's core values and various scientific research elements, demonstrating the contributions of graduate students to UNC Charlotte and society as a whole. While we envision a street art style for the mural, we welcome creative proposals that align with this objective. Applicants are invited to submit a proposal that outlines their ideas for materials and design. While a final design is not required at this stage, we are looking for a clear vision of how you conceptualize the mural.

Learning Experience
Students participating in this project will leave a lasting mark on the walls of the Center for Graduate Life and Learning by showcasing their creativity, design, and project management skills. They will also receive recognition for their professional work experience and have the opportunity to enhance their portfolios with an interesting project. Additionally, participants will earn compensation for their involvement.
