Position Description:

Responsible for providing consultation and overall coordination of generating station Stores functions. Catalogs items into the Oracle Inventory application following established departmental and corporate procedures. Performs various materials management activities such as Distribution Requirements Planned planning and requisition, blanket order planning, material analysis, material transfers, obsolete and excess material disposal, inventory centralization, procedure development, reports, etc. Conducts Inventory spot checks at generating station warehouses. 

Essential Job Tasks:

  • Administrate the Oracle Inventory application for the Generation department. Tasks include accurately cataloging items following established departmental and corporate procedures, maintaining manufacturer and vendor cross references, and modifying item descriptions.
  • Administrate the Distribution Requirements Planned application for the Generation department. Tasks include updating safety stock and inventory standard levels for items, troubleshooting for improper settings on inventory items not calculating for re-order, and entering the proper information for newly added inventory items.
  • Assist the Procurement department by analyzing Inventory usage and spending patterns at the generating stations in order to recommend adequate monies to meet requirements for the duration of Inventory-related blanket agreements.
  • Conduct Inventory spot checks twice per year and capital tool spot checks once per year at generating station warehouses. Generate and provide monthly and annual Inventory reports to Generation management and warehouse supervision.
  • Serve as security clearance steward for the Oracle Inventory application by determining proper clearance levels, providing approvals, and training new users. Assist the Technology Services department with guidance and provide testing of upgrades to the Oracle Inventory and Distribution Requirements Planned applications.
  • Assist with writing and/or modifying any Stores procedures associated with Generation Inventory and ensure all Generation warehouse locations are in compliance with the procedures.
  • Process material disposal forms submitted by Generation warehouse locations and assist the Investment Recovery department in the disposal or sale of Inventory.
  • Supports the Enterprise Asset Management (Maximo) and/or Enterprise Content Management areas on a limited basis. Primary focus is learning functionality of the applications, its interfaces, and how they support maintenance processes at the generating stations. Performs minor tasks under the direction of the user administrator.

Position Requirements: 

Engineering Technician A

  • Bachelor's Degree + 4 years experience, Associate's Degree + 6 years experience or High School Diploma/GED + 8 years experience required.

Compensation Information:
$33.35 -$41.65 (min. - mid.)

Engineering Technician B

  • Bachelor's Degree + 1 years experience, Associate's Degree + 3 years experience or High School Diploma/GED + 5 years experience required.

Compensation Information:
$27.00 - $33.75 (min. - mid.)

Engineering Technician C

  • Associate's Degree or High School Diploma/GED + 5 years experience required.

Compensation Information:
$22.00 - $27.45 (min. - mid.)
