McGuireWoods Undergraduate Summer Intern – Law Student Recruiting Department
Job Description
McGuireWoods seeks a rising junior or senior undergraduate student to assist our law student recruiting department in Charlotte, NC or Downtown Los Angeles, CA during our firm’s summer associate program and during law student on-campus interview season.
The law student recruiting intern will be responsible for handling a multitude of duties to support the firm’s attorney recruiting team.
This role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the applicant tracking system is updated and organized
- Creating candidate material packets and interview tracking documents
- Scheduling interviews and handling any related logistics
- Tracking summer associate work assignment deadlines
- Processing expenses related to the summer associate program and law student recruitment
- Participating in individual and group meetings and trainings, as required
- Executing any special projects, as required
Job Requirements
- Rising junior or senior on track to complete their undergraduate degree from an accredited U.S. college
- Applicant must be in good standing at their undergraduate institution
- Ability to come into the office 5 days a week
- Preference will be given to those applicants with a demonstrated interest in the legal industry and/or recruiting
- Prior work experience in an office environment is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, and a positive attitude
- Detail and process oriented
- Client service oriented
