The Internship
Through creating graphics and marketing designs, the graphic design intern will learn to work effectively in a team-driven office environment to further their academic success by combining classroom learning with hands-on design experience.
The intern will work on marketing and design projects for the Career Center (which entails a range of programs, services, and events).
The intern will design any or all of the following: logos, social media graphics, web banners, flyers, ads, templates, posters, and signage. The intern will assist with branding the Career Center as a whole, as well as marketing specific programs, services, and events. Designs will be targeted at a range of audiences, including students, alumni, faculty/staff, employers, and family members.
In addition to design work, the intern will participate in professional development activities and assist in running career fairs and events alongside Career Center student and professional staff.
Learning Experience
You will gain experience with strategic marketing and communications, social media development, and more articles in your portfolio.

The graphic design intern will be mentored by the Assistant Director for Marketing but will have the opportunity to work with multiple teams and staff on projects. Through collaborating with Career Center staff, the intern will learn the importance of communication and teamwork. Because of the large number of Career Center constituents and the range of services/programs offered, the intern will need to possess a strong work ethic and initiative.
Must have experience with Adobe Suites (Ai, Id, Ps). Prefer students who are pursuing a Graphic Design degree, but open to all majors.
• Graphic design, marketing, or any major with graphic design experience
(design samples required)
• Working knowledge of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or other design software
• Attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• Deadline driven
If the intern has experience with video editing software, there may be an opportunity for creating and editing videos for the office.
