The Internship
● Assist in the ideation and planning of marketing campaigns, materials, and events ● Management of promotional inventory, engagement resources, and outreach materials ● Production and distribution of print materials inside and outside recreational facilities ● Maintain a working knowledge of all University Recreation programs and services ● Upkeep strong partnerships with other student employees and colleagues ● Deliver quality customer service to all patrons, program participants, partners, and visitors ● Other duties and projects as assigned

Learning Experience
Through this role, the student will gain practical experience in marketing, outreach, and program promotion within a collegiate recreation setting. By assisting in the ideation and planning of marketing campaigns, materials, and events, the student will develop skills in strategic thinking, creativity, and audience engagement. The student will build organizational and operational skills through the management of promotional inventory and outreach resources, as well as the production and distribution of print materials across various platforms and spaces. This experience will enhance their ability to execute marketing initiatives from concept to implementation. By maintaining a strong understanding of University Recreation programs and services, the student will learn how to effectively communicate value to diverse audiences. Collaboration with professional staff and student employees will strengthen their teamwork and communication skills, while ongoing interaction with patrons and participants will develop their customer service and problem solving abilities in a dynamic, service oriented environment. Overall, this experience will support the development of transferable skills including project coordination, time management, professionalism, and adaptability, preparing the student for future careers in marketing, communications, or related fields.

Outcomes
