Job Description
The Creative Services Team is looking for a talented Student Graphic Designers. The student graphic designers will assist with creating print and digital marketing materials. This position offers the opportunity to gain graphic design experience, enhance technical skills, and add to your growing portfolio!
The Creative Services Team supports the marketing and design efforts for the Student Affairs Marketing and Communication Team and Division of Student Affairs at UNC Charlotte. We are committed to fostering the learning, growth and development of students by offering an opportunity to work in a professional graphic design setting right here on campus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize and design marketing materials, including but not limited to brochures,
flyers, calendars, posters, digital signage, and t-shirts.
- Collaborate with our team to develop design concepts.
- Receive feedback and make necessary changes.
- Assemble final design files for review and distribution on campus.
- Utilize Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator to create marketing
materials.
- Apply knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and other graphic
design fundamentals to all projects.

- Apply the principles of color, composition, hierarchy, typography as they relate in the various media.
- Demonstrate the ability to create and develop original concepts, build prototypes, integrate feedback and carry projects through the production process.
- Apply principles of visual communication as they relate to reaching audiences, the role of design in society, and the ability to work.
- Demonstrate understanding of the design process, design thinking and professional standards and practices, including real-project learning scenarios and a transition into preparing a portfolio to enter the working force.
- Learn to build and foster relationships with various campus partners and campus professionals.
