Our internship program is based in Austin, Texas, down the street from our original Whole Foods Market store. Our interns don't get us coffee; instead, they enjoy free coffee and tea while working on meaningful projects that impact our internal and external stakeholders.

About the Team:

The Global Specialty Merchandising Team at Whole Foods Market is responsible for all Specialty Food and Adult Beverage items in stores from artisanal cheeses to natural & organically grown wines. We are looking for a summer intern to support Specialty programming including but not limited to the cross-functional efforts to support our Adult Beverage Initiatives. These initiatives are collaborative with both internal and external stakeholders in the areas of sustainability and transparency, content creation, and data analysis.

Intern Responsibilities May Include:

• Provide support to cross-functional efforts to design, configure, and launch new and/or enhanced processes or systems to support Adult Beverage Initiatives

• Assists Senior Program Manager with various activities including data gathering, data analysis, report generation, drafting presentations and documents, project management support, or other assigned duties related to Win with Adult Beverage Initiatives

• Maintain project tracking, document next steps and communicate status updates to various stakeholders in a proactive manner

• Will attend meetings, presentations, and training to ensure exposure to the full range of Specialty Adult Beverage team functions and understanding of their key interdependencies

• Support other Whole Foods Market Specialty projects as needed

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite

• Comfortable with basic SQL queries, and complex data sets from various sources. Candidate will need to be able to v-lookup, Sumif, and pivot data for analysis

• Ability to collaborate with mentor, advisors, and Team Members to understand requirements and expectations

• Ability to work on structured assignments

Education & Experience:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed (within the past year) a bachelor's degree

Internship Program Details:

Our Summer 2025 Internships are paid for 10-weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) between June 2, 2025-August 8, 2025. The internships will be based in Austin, Texas and are not open to remote candidates at this time.

Program Highlights:

• Weekly Summer Event Series: Weekly events for interns to connect with one another and get immersed in the Whole Foods Market culture. Previous events have included distribution center tours, cheese tastings, volunteering at the Central Texas Food Bank, supplier visits, women in leadership panel and more!

• Intern Buddy: Opportunity to be paired with a Whole Foods Market team member outside of our team that can be a go to resource during your summer.

• Team Member Coffee Chats: Network 1:1 with Whole Foods Market team members in your field or area of interest for a 20 - 30-minute coffee chat.

• Internship Expo: End of internship presentations where you can share what projects you worked on during the summer with the entire company!
