STW: Student Innovation Ambassador

Position Summary

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is seeking enthusiastic and motivated students to join our team. The Student Innovation Ambassadors assist current and incoming students in connecting with CEI initiatives and opportunities that align with their interests and goals. They work closely with staff, faculty, and peers to foster a collaborative environment, support entrepreneurial programming, promote innovation across campus, and encourage participation in UNC Charlotte’s entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute campus events, admissions events, and information sessions that engage students and promote entrepreneurship opportunities.
- Facilitate classroom visits and presentations to raise awareness about the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and its programs.
- Provide peer-to-peer mentoring, supporting students interested in innovation, startups, and entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Maintain weekly office hours (minimum of 6 hours per week) to support office operations, assist with event preparation, and meet with students.
- Collaborate with staff to support outreach efforts and increase student involvement in entrepreneurship programs.
- Promote a positive, friendly, and welcoming environment for all students.
