Job Description
For students pursuing engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related degree. This internship offers hands-on BIM experience with the potential to transition into a full-time BIM Designer or BIM Engineer role after graduation.
Schedule: Up to 20 hours/week
Position Summary
As a BIM Engineering Intern, you will work directly with the Director of BIM to support BIM modeling, coordination, and documentation for real-world commercial projects. You will gain practical experience with Autodesk Revit and multidisciplinary BIM workflows while receiving hands-on mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify Autodesk Revit models for low-voltage technology systems.
- Assist with BIM coordination and clash detection.
- Create plans, schedules, details, legends, and construction documents.
- Support Revit family, template, and BIM standard development.
- Perform quality control reviews of models and documentation.
- Participate in project and coordination meetings.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience with Autodesk Revit through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred: Experience with Navisworks, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or construction documents.
