Position Description
- Provides engineering support for medium to large scale projects to various areas in an electrical generating station and directs or participates in the execution of projects. Duties include support of the Maintenance Department and develop a detailed understanding of generating station equipment, systems, and operations. Provides necessary skills to maintain availability and efficiency of station equipment.
Essential Job Tasks: - Designs, plans, and coordinates medium to large scale projects from inception through release for operation into service. Coordinates projects with other departments and contractors. Communicates issues with appropriate management.
- Assists Operations, Maintenance, or Technical Services departments by providing engineering support. Looks for solutions and considers economic/environmental impacts of recommendations.
- Analyzes highly complex operations and maintenance equipment problems and recommends solutions.
- Coordinates, conducts and provides support for equipment performance tests (turbine enthalpy drop, pulverizer, air heater, condenser, etc.).
- Performs or directs inspections of various station equipment, documents condition, and recommends corrective action. Additionally, monitors/trends operating data to identify necessary corrective actions.
- Supports Generation and Corporate Goals Programs, with an emphasis on safety.
- Prepares budget for maintenance department and tracks/submits quarterly variance information to management. Provides year end costs projections as necessary.
Position Requirements
Will consider Sr. Engineer, Engineer III, Engineer II or Engineer I
Sr. Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an EAC/ABET University or College +8 years of related experience required.
- Professional Engineering License required.
Compensation Information:
$100,550 - $125,680 (min. - mid.)
Engineer III - Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University or College +5 years of experience.
- FE/EIT License required.
Compensation Information:
$90,190 - $112,730 (min. - mid.)
Engineer II - Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University or College +2 years of experience.
- FE/EIT License preferred.
Compensation Information:
$80,890 - $101,110 (min. - mid.)
Engineer I - Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an EAC/ABET accredited University or College.
- FE/EIT License preferred.
Compensation Information:
